CURIOUS ABOUT THE 2021 ELECTION and where candidates received their donations? Or, what all the political pacs mean? See our graphs and chart (below) for City Council candidates and current Cambridge political groups and endorsees. When candidates take sizable funding from real estate interests it suggests that on some issues they may be more inclined to vote in a manner that benefits these individuals' interests. When candidates take significant funding from individuals who do not live in Cambridge it makes one question how closely aligned their interests are with local residents.
Thank you! We want to thank the Cambridge City Council Candidates who joined our CCC candidate forum on Sept 26, 2021. It soon will be posted on Community Television and Twitter. We also want to thank our great host, Kerry Costello, and moderator Chuck Hinds.

Cambridge Citizens Coalition 2019 Slate
All CCC (CCC-AC) Endorsed Candidates have agreed NOT to take donations from developers and others doing commercial business with the city. This pledge going forward hopefully will influence others to continue this policy.
COMPARE THE 2019 SLATES: CCC (CCC AC) and ABC (CCC AF) Which has the most outside Cambridge (non-local) $$ donations?
Find the Data -- HERE http://cambridgecivic.com/?p=6965 & HERE: http://cambridgecivic.com/?p=6383
Because of the Cambridge system of voting, these developer and other building trade donations also impact non-incumbent candidates on the same slate, since the votes for candidates who have already met the necessary quota to win election are passed down to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th choices of each voter.
For non-incumbent candidates on a slate, they also are beneficiaries of the developer and building trade-linked money flowing to the incumbent candidates on a slate. For ABC (ABC-AF) the allied non-incumbent candidates include Burhan Azeem, Risa Mednick, Adrienne Musgrave, and Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler. For CCC (CCC-AC) the allied non-incumbent candidates include Charles Franklin, Derek Kopon, Patty Nolan, John Pitkin, Ben Simon, and Nicola Williams. The CCC (CCC-AC) non-incumbent candidates will NOT be secondary beneficiaries of these developer linked funds.
